What We Do

DREAM enables businesses or individuals running a blockchain project (or any project) to hire talented freelancers and securely pay with Bitcoin. From complex blockchain software development or business consulting, to creative design and marketing; we've got you covered.

DREAM Freelancer Profile

A DREAM profile enables a freelancer to get hired for projects, and list gigs:

  • No setup fees, no monthly fees, and no listing fees
  • Get matched and submit proposals for client jobs and projects
  • Sell gigs with discounts and incentives
  • Showcase past work
  • Build trust and ratings
  • Escrow Bitcoin payments (we deduct 10% from completed transactions)

The more well written and quality content that a freelancer adds to their profile, the higher they will score. Every freelancer is manually reviewed and approved by DREAM before they are listed on DREAM, and before they can connect with clients.

Jobs - Hourly

For anything other than a small fixed price piece of work, hourly jobs work best. Hourly jobs allow the client or freelancer to add milestones, and the freelancer to invoice for hours worked. For example:

  1. The client posts a job publically, or privately invites a freelancer, e.g. Build eCommerce Site with Bitpay Integration, Budget about $2,500
  2. If a public job, DREAM match freelancers based on their skills (the client can always invite more freelancers)
  3. The client negotiates with freelancers and hires their favourite
  4. The client adds Milestone 1 - Site Structure & UI = $700 and funds the escrow account
  5. The freelancer completes Milestone 1, and the client releases payment from escrow
  6. The freelancer works for 40 hours x $40 = $1,600 and invoices the client, who makes payment
  7. When the job is complete, the client leaves feedback

The system is flexible to accommodate different types of projects and billing. Milestones could be agreed in advance, and the escrow funded as required. Alternatively the freelancer could invoice weekly based on their hourly rate.

You can use the milestones and hourly billing feature with any type of contract (including gigs and fixed price jobs). Meaning, when you find a great freelancer, you don't need to start a new contract with them.

Jobs - Fixed Price

Fixed price jobs are ideal for simple tasks, and when the client wants to receive multiple proposals:

  1. The client posts a job publically, or privately invites a freelancer, e.g. Need Help Marketing My Startup, Budget about $400
  2. DREAM match freelancers based on their skills (the client can also invite freelancers)
  3. The client can discuss and negotiate with freelancers and hire their favourite
  4. The client makes payment on the checkout page
  5. DREAM notify the freelancer and Bitcoin Payment is held in escrow
  6. When the job is completed, the client releases payment to the freelancer

Gigs are ideal for pre-packaged, straightforward pieces of work that the freelancer offers in advance (no need to proposals or job posting):

  1. The client selects a gig from a freelancer profile, e.g. One Hour Consulting Call for $80
  2. The client makes payment on the checkout page
  3. DREAM notify the freelancer and Bitcoin Payment is held in escrow
  4. When the gig is complete, the client releases Bitcoin payment to the freelancer
  5. Ratings are left by the client only for completed gigs

Bitcoin Escrow Payments

All prices are automatically displayed in the client's local currency. A freelancer in Spain would see their prices in Bitcoin converted to Euros, a client in the US would see the price in US dollars, and a client in Japan would see the price in Yen.  Optionally, prices can always be displayed in USD.

When the freelancer creates a gig, or when a client posts a job they set the price in their local currency. To ensure that price is met, the Bitcoin price on our site may change according to exchange rates.

The freelancer can cancel gigs or jobs and refund the client at any time.
